Welcome to Pacerift ("we," "our," or "us"). Pacerift is an advanced motorcycle telemetry suite designed to track, analyze, and visualize riding data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our mobile application.
02 // Information We Collect
To provide our core telemetry services, Pacerift requires access to specific device data:
- Location Data (Foreground and Background): Pacerift collects precise location data to track your riding routes, calculate velocity, and analyze vehicle dynamics. Crucially, Pacerift collects location data in the background even when the app is closed or not in use. This is strictly required to ensure uninterrupted trip recording while your phone is locked or in your pocket during a ride.
- Sensor Data: We access your device's accelerometer and gyroscope to calculate G-forces, lean angles, and filter GPS noise.
- Account Information: If you choose to sync your data using Firebase Cloud Sync, we collect basic profile information (such as your email address via Google Sign-In) to securely tie your garage and trip data to your account.
03 // How We Use Your Information
Your data is used exclusively to power the Pacerift experience: to record routes, provide real-time environmental context via OpenWeatherMap, reverse-geocode cities via Mapbox, and synchronize history across devices.
04 // Third-Party Services
Pacerift integrates with Mapbox, OpenWeatherMap, and Google Firebase. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal or location data to external marketing or advertising agencies.
05 // Data Storage and Security
By default, your telemetry data is stored locally on your device in an encrypted database. If Cloud Sync is enabled, data is securely transmitted to Firebase. You can delete your historical trip data at any time from within the app.
06 // Account & Data Deletion
You can permanently delete your account and all associated cloud data at any time, directly from within the app — no email request required. For step-by-step instructions, see our Account & Data Deletion Policy.
